Prof. Abdullah Al Mutrafy
Prof. Al Mutrafy graduated from King Saud University, obtaining his MBBS in 1996. He joined the Pediatric Residency Training Program at King Fahad Hospital, KAMCRiyadh(1997-2001), and obtained his Saudi and Arab Board Certificates in General Pediatrics in 2002. He obtained Medical Council of Canada Evaluating Examination (MCCEE) and Saudi License Examination in 1997. He completed a Pediatric Emergency Medicine Fellowship (2003-2005) at the Hospital for Sick Children, University of Toronto in 2005 and Pediatric Trauma Fellowship (2005-2006) at the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario, University of Ottawa in 2006. He obtained a Master of Medical Education from KSAU-HS, Riyadh (2010).
Prof. Al Mutafy was credentialed as an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine, College of Medicine, Riyadh (COM-R) in April 2007; and was promoted to Associate Professor in September 2012; then promoted to Professor in September 2016. He was Director of Emergency Medical Services, COAMS-R from March 2009 to May 2011 and Director of Pediatric Fellowship program from May 2007 to May 2011. He appointed as Founder Dean, COAMS-R in May 2011. Also, he appointed as Deputy Chairman, College of Applied Medical Sciences Dean’s Council in March 2012; and Chairman of Pediatric Emergency Fellowship Examination Committee, Saudi Commission for Health Specialties in August 2015. In December 2015, he appointed as Deputy Executive Director, Medical Services, King Abdullah Specialized Children’s Hospital ( KASCH); and as Chairman of BESTCare Enhancement Committee.
